To join a modded server, you have to install ValheimPlus on your client.

• Download the client mod from our web interface located in the basic settings
• Unzip the file with a program like WinRAR
• Open your Steam folder on your computer (usually located here: C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Valheim\
• Paste the files from the downloaded folder and replace the existing ones
• Important: After every update, the client version has to be updated manually. The server updates itself after a simple restart

Important: To deactivate the mod on your computer, locate the Steam folder of Valheim again and rename this file: winhttp.dll (e.g. to winhttp1.dll). If you want to remove it completely, you have to delete and reinstall the entire game via Steam.

CHARACTER CREATION:

• You can only have one active character at a time - the creation of a new character requires another application and the rendering of your previous character lost, killed, exiled, etc.
• Your in-game name needs to be two words (first and last name).
• You cannot use modern / meme / god names / titles.
• Must be unique and not the same as anyone else.
• Your characters must have no connection to any past characters.
• Your name must fit in-game, 15 character max including spaces.
• You must use your character name OR alias as your discord nickname and mumble name (no spaces).

BUILDING:

Whilst in-game, pressing F2 will bring up various metrics and UI - please note that this is META information and your character cannot interpret this information.
Within the F2 menu, you can find 'Instances' - this is the primary metric used when building.

• You must keep your builds below 11k instances max
  it is recommended 10k instances or less
• You may not terraform your build
  This means no mountains, no making your own rivers, no moats, no flattening a whole hill for a city.
• You may own a total of [1] ward. You can be on an unlimited number of other people's wards
• You may have 1 house or base and 1 outpost.
  A base can be multiple buildings in an area but the entire area must stay below the instance cap
  An outpost is a small or temporary structure built to support a person or group far from home.
• If you move you must destroy your old building.
  If the building belongs to a town or group, the property does not need to be destroyed it is the responsibility of the group
• Wards should cover your chests with items to keep them safe.
• Farmers must cultivate responsibly and not create cultivated land inside towns or near multiple people. Cultivated ground is a type of terraforming and the cultivator has limited durability. Keep this in mind when deciding the size of your farm. Make a ticket to have any terrain reset, using the grass tool doesn't fix the terraforming caused by cultivating.
• If your intended build is within max render distance of others you should get their permission first.

TOWNS & GUILDS:

Formed by players in character. There must be at least 5 active members to be recognized.
Characters may be a member of 1 town and 1 guild.

• Town: A physical location of several buildings in the same area.
• Guild: A group of people with a common goal, job or interest

Must have an identified OOC spokesperson for Admin coordination.
A discord role and channel will be made for the town/guild.
The discord channel is for coordinating OOC only.

• DO NOT chat about stories from in game, should discuss that in character.
• DO NOT use the town/guild channel for meta.
• DO discuss things like instances / lag, coordinating irl times for events

WORLD PVP:

All PVP must have an in character roleplay reason behind it. It must be a reason more established than "I am a bandit".
You may not engage any player on the No-PVP List. If they are in a mixed party you must provide the players who are on the list with the opportunity to leave before the PVP begins. (e.g. "Go on get out of here")
You have to give some IC warning that the PVP will start.
You must not use PVP as a tool for griefing.
The following items are prohibited in all types of PVP encounters unless all parties agree to allow them prior to combat:

• Forbidden Items: Harpoon, Blood Mushroom, Alchemist Stones

You may not PVP in areas designated by the admins as neutral areas such as the starter area.
You should not be engaging newbies in PVP, let them get established first.
If you are knocked out in a PVP conflict you may not rejoin the fight. You must let the fight be resolved and not continue fighting endlessly.
You MUST self-report all PVP encounters that result in breaking things or taking things in an admin ticket.
