OHR GAMING | GUILD CHARTER

GUILD MEMBER CONDUCT

Presentation of the Ohr Gaming Guild.
All members of the Ohr Gaming Network are expected to conduct themselves in a tasteful and respectful manner in all forms of player interaction in game. We do not tolerate any outspoken opinion of bigotry, hatred, or undue aggression toward our members or any other player in the game. If a player is found expressing such things in a public channel, even if spoken on a character not in Ohr Gaming, whichever characters they have with the guild will be removed.

Differences of Opinion.
A difference of opinion about topics inside and outside of the games we play is to be expected from time to time. Handling disagreements with your fellow guildmates and community members with grace and maturity is also an expectation. Failure to meet these requirements will probably mean you will be removed from the guild. We have a ZERO DRAMA policy.

Banter and Harassment.
Banter in Ohr Gaming is allowed. Harassment is forbidden. Any players observed frequently discussing inflammatory material for intention of provoking a response will be considered 'trolling'. This is not permitted. Players deliberately offending other players will be removed from the guild. Please KEEP IN MIND that if you are joining Ohr Gaming, it's expected that you have a high tolerance of what you can handle while playing online. This is the internet. Don't take it too seriously.

Conduct Toward Officers.
The officers of Ohr Gaming ensure that our rules and guidelines are enforced and that the guild environment remains amicable and friendly. They are here to address any concerns you have about player conduct inside and outside of the guild, and you should never feel hesitant to approach them about anything that is making you uncomfortable. An officer will determine what is and is not acceptable behavior in Ohr Gaming, in adherence with these rules and guidelines.

Event Conduct
Please practice considerate and attentive behavior during role playing events that make use of the "/Roll 3d6" system. As indicated at the start of each event, all posts should be restricted to OPs chat (Swtor) or other channels based on game for the ease of the DM to observe the actions of all participating characters. Most importantly, refrain from engaging in any character action that would derail or delay the start of an event.  Players who are disruptive and are not ready to begin an event when the DM is ready may be told to excuse themselves from the event.

PVE & PVP CONTENT

The following are our guidelines for PvE and PvP content. We are first and foremost a roleplaying guild and do our best to go with the flow. However, we have found that a few simple rules make for an overall better gaming experience for everyone. These guidelines can be altered at the consent of all participants for any particular event or branch of the gaming community.

Committing to a PvE/PvP Event means you should be online and ready to go with appropriate prep materials for your class and profession at least 10 minutes before the scheduled event time.

PvE and PvP events are planned via the website calendar system. Any Guild Officer can plan or create guild events. These allow guild members and friends to sign up. The list is taken in the sign-up order providing we have enough slots for the event.

PLAYER VERSUS PLAYER RULES OF ENGAGEMENT

Participation in PvP is at the member's discretion. If a member does choose to participate in PvP, the following applies:

No Griefing. Griefing is defined as the continued ganking and killing of an enemy combatant, especially one that is obviously not your match in PvP. "They were doing it to me" is not justification for us doing it. This is a cycle of frustration and ill will towards the gaming community that we do not need to perpetuate.

No Corpse Camping. Kill and move on. Killing enemies at a resurrection point is a dishonorable and obnoxious practice, do not do it. We're looking to foster a community filled with friendly competition and fairness.

Honor your enemies as you honor your allies. Avoid disrespectful behavior towards enemy combatants. This includes spitting emotes, taunting or any other behavior designed to demean and insult. You represent our guild not only to our faction but those on the other continent as well.

Allow your enemies to flee in fear, if the enemy is making an apparent attempt at escaping or simply aren't looking for a fight then enable them to do so. If they look like they're merely waiting around for the 'right' time to jump into a fight when the odds are stacked against you or your group, destroy them without mercy.

The above PVP conduct ONLY applies to structured pvp events | friendly/respected guilds | casual skirmishes over spawn points.
  • Enemy guilds|KoS|Bounties|Bandits - Red is dead.  Flagged enemies and guilds who have declared war against the Iron Circle are no longer protected by our code of conduct.
The Ohr Gaming Network  is a gaming community focused on fostering a group of mature, intelligent, funny and down to earth players who are more interested in camaraderie over competitiveness. We want the Ohr Gaming Community to be a place for adults that can enjoy socializing with friends as much as they enjoy playing the games themselves.
